Not to mention I had issues with activating the keys themselves, it seemed like they sometimes wouldn't go through. So I had to create seperate accounts for each user. I've never had it work correctly with multiple keys on one account It lets you put 5 keys on one account then throws an activation error after the first one. I tried to tie 1 key to multiple accounts but ran into the thing /u/mobearsdog ran into - as in:Įspecially if you have 5 of them. Googling has revealed that it is now mandatory to tie the licence key to a Microsoft account. Now the problem with office 2016 in particular is that it requires me to sign in to an MS account if I want to activate the product. The rest of us are using older office at the moment.
